Carl Zeiss started to look seriously respond to the growing trend DSLM cameras sold well. After releasing Zeiss Touit last year, is now re-presenting Zeiss lenses for Sony's DSLM with Zeiss name Loxia.

This new lens is specifically designed for full frame cameras DSLM Sony. Which means that only users DSLM Sony A7 camera, and A7S A7R that could be paired with this lens. Sony provides these lenses in two models namely 35mm and 50mm with the same aperture is F / 2.0.
The uniqueness of the two lenses is not only seen in terms of its name alone, but also on the construction of the lens. Both lenses are inspired by two legendary Zeiss lens manually.
To model adapted from 35mm Biogon ZM 35mm lens f / 2.0 is designed for Leica M-mount. Lens pack 9 lens elements in 6 groups with partial anomalous dispersion lens element in the leading position.
The new Two lenses, 50mm, 50mm addapted from the lens f / 2 Planar. This lens consists of 6 elements in 5 groups lens. In the adaptation of the old lens construction, both are also not equipped with a lens element asperical commonly used in modern lenses today. Without the presence of asperical lens elements, this means that both are capable of producing images with characteristic retro lenses.
To spoil the video makers, the second lens is also equipped with buttons for setting the aperture on the lens. By pressing the button, the videographer can make arrangements through the aperture directly on the lens aperture ring.
